DEI Movie: The Banker

MJAR’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee invites you to a diverse movie screening of The Banker (2020), followed by a discussion.

Fee: $5
Movie time runs 2 hours, followed by a 30-minute discussion.
Open to Family & Friends.
Free small popcorn & small drink provided (drink refills included).

Parking is located behind the building in Lot 112A.

Inspired by true events, the story follows Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson) and Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie), two of the first African-American bankers in the United States. Two revolutionary businessmen devise an audacious and risky plan to take on the racially oppressive establishment of the 1960s by hiring a working-class white man to pretend to be the head of their business empire while posing as a janitor and chauffeur. Movie time runs 2 hours. Parking is located behind the building in Lot 112A.
