Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® would like to congratulate Fareeda Stokes as the 2026 REALTOR® of the Year. The selection was made by the Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year Task Force, comprised of past recipients of the prestigious award. The local REALTOR® of the Year award program is designed to recognize a REALTOR® member of each local association who has provided outstanding service to the REALTOR® organization, their profession, and their community.
Fareeda Stokes exudes unwavering professionalism in our industry and is a dedicated member of the Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® where she actively participates in numerous committees, programs and activities. Her community involvement is a defining pillar and she firmly believes that REALTORS® have a responsibility to not only facilitate homeownership, but also to strengthen communities they serve through advocacy, education, and volunteerism. Whether serving on boards, advocating for fair housing, mentoring emerging professionals, supporting youth, or investing in charitable initiatives, Fareeda consistently demonstrates that community leadership is not an obligation – it’s a defining characteristic of her professional life and commitment to the REALTOR® spirit of service.
Beyond managing her brokerage, Fareeda strives to advance the principles of good real estate practice by educating consumers about the home buying and selling process, positioning them to make informed decisions, and promoting transparency through every transaction. For Fareeda, the REALTOR® spirit is demonstrated not only by following the Code of Ethics, but by leading with integrity, mentoring others, protecting the public, and continually raising the standard of professionalism within our industry.
Throughout her real estate career, Fareeda has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the REALTOR® profession through sustained leadership, volunteer service, and active engagement at the local association level. She recognizes that strong REALTOR® associations are built by members who contribute their time, expertise, and leadership to strengthen the profession and protect the interested of both REALTORS® and the public.
Fareeda has proudly served on the Association’s Board of Directors from 2021-2023 under CORE Association of REALTORS® and continues her leadership journey with the Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® (MJAR), serving from 2023-2024 and again for the 2026-2028 term. Her long-standing dedication is further reflected through service on numerous committees including Professional Standards, where she served as chairperson from 2021-2023, as well as serving as both a Mediator and Ombudsman. Fareeda currently serves on the Budget & Finance Committee and Community Service Committee and has previously chaired the Government Affairs Committee. Over the years, her additional volunteer service included the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Education Advisory, Managers Forum, and Grievance Committee, demonstrating a broad commitment to the governance, advocacy, education, and ethical standards of the REALTOR® organization.
Fareeda will be recognized and receive her award at the upcoming Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, October 21 at the Pines Manor in Edison.
