Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® is proud to congratulate two members who have recently received the honorary status of REALTOR® Emeritus from the National Association of REALTORS® for their long-term commitment to our industry. Congratulations to Dorothy Bellas of Re/Max First Realty of East Brunswick and Sue LaRue of Weichert, REALTORS® of Princeton Junction.
Dorothy Bellas joined the National Association of REALTORS® in July of 1986. Since beginning her career in real estate, she has served as a Member of the Board of Directors and President for Metro Centre Association of REALTORS® in 2017 (now Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®). On a local level, Dorothy has served on Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®’ Policy and Procedure Committee, RPAC & Government Affairs Committee and Budget and Finance Committee. On a national level, she has served on NAR’s Business Issues Policy Committee and the Board of Directors.
Sue LaRue joined the National Association of REALTORS® in August of 1986. Since starting her career, she has served as a Member of the Board of Directors and President of CORE Association of REALTORS® in 2020 (now the Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®). On a local level, Sue has served on Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®’ RPAC & Government Affairs Committee, Professional Standards Committee, Local Circle of Excellence Verification Committee, Policy and Procedure Committee, Ombudsman Committee, Mediators, and Office Principal Tas Force. On a national level. she has served on NAR’s Leading Edge Advisory Board, Professional Standards Committee, and the Board of Directors.
REALTOR® Emeritus is an honorary status recognizing long-term dedication and service to the National Association of REALTORS®. Eligible members whose applications are approved receive a permanent dues waiver of the NAR portion of your board dues and are exempt from the Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training requirement.
