The Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®, with offices in South River and Branchburg, seeks volunteers to serve on its 2027 Committees / Task Forces.
Volunteers are the foundation of MJAR’s strength and continued success. If you wish to be considered for any of the Committees/ Task Forces listed below, please submit this form in its entirety.
Terms will be for the calendar year starting January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027.
IMPORTANT NOTE: 2026 MJAR Committee / Task Force Members who wish to continue on the same Committee / Task Force for 2027 will need to reapply. Members are not automatically placed on the same Committee / Task Force for the following year.
Deadline for submission is by 5:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2026.
The 2027 Committees / Task Forces will be formed by the incoming President and members will be informed by early December if they have been chosen to serve on a Committee(s) or Task Force(s.)
Code of Conduct for Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® Committee/Task Force Volunteers
Budget & Finance Committee
MISSION: Establish and monitor an annual operating budget for MJAR, in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, based on revenue forecasts for approval by the Board of Directors
Circle of Excellence Verification Task Force
MISSION: Review MJAR members’ New Jersey REALTORS® Circle of Excellence Awards applications and plan the awards celebration. The Task Force seeks advertisers for the program book and door prizes, and decides on event logistics. Must be available for for application verification January 12 – January 15, 2027.
Community Service Committee
MISSION: Plan, coordinate, and participate in public service projects and events that benefit the community and provide assistance to the general public who are less fortunate.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
MISSION: Serves to address issues that REALTORS® face in day-to-day business such as cultural, social, and sexual discrimination. Hosts educational programs that bring awareness to issues and provide a forum for discussion. Create relationships with local diversity supporting organizations.
Policy & Procedure Task Force
MISSION: To review any proposed change of policy suggested by any consultant or learned or discovered by Board Members through events such as conferences or seminars before being incorporated into the association policy.
Professional Standards Committee
MISSION: This Committee conducts arbitration and ethics hearings as needed following procedures outlined in the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. The Committee also works to educate members about the Code of Ethics and its applications. Advanced training is required to serve on ethics and arbitration hearing panel cases. [Please note: This includes the Grievance, Mediator, Ombudsman, and Professional Standards, which requires choosing one or more subcommittee(s.)]
- GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE: The function of this Committee is to give initial consideration to allegations of unethical conduct and requests for arbitration, and to determine whether a complaint should be the subject for a hearing in its claim and presentation. The committee makes the determination whether a complaint should be dismissed or referred to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing. Advanced training is required to serve on a case.
- MEDIATOR COMMITTEE: Serves to help REALTORS® resolve conflicts amongst themselves, rather than with a professional standards panel, to enable them to decide their outcome. Facilitates resolution over arbitrable disputes, such as commissions. Advanced training is required to serve on a case.
- OMBUDSMAN COMMITTEE: To identify and resolve misunderstandings and disagreements before the matter turns into a possible charge of unethical conduct. Training in advance of being assigned a case is required.
RPAC/Government Affairs Committee
MISSION: Solicit and collect voluntary REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) contributions in an effort to achieve the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) goal through fundraisers and direct contact with the membership.
Young Professionals Network (YPN) Committee
MISSION: Plan and network at events for young real estate professionals to enable them to build relationships and help them excel in their careers. The Committee organizes networking opportunities and promotes the advancement of future leaders.
