Treating all consumers equally and fairly is not only a sound business practice but it is also the law. This course reviews the legal obligations that all real estate licensees must adhere to, including federal and state regulations. Follow-up discussions will address various consumer concerns, such as service animals, tenant applications, and qualifications. Additionally, risk management for real estate licensees will be covered through the development of best business practices.
The course will also include a discussion on the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s 2021 Memorandum on the Fair Chance in Housing Act (FCHA) legislation, as well as an exploration of biases.
