Join CORE Association of REALTORS® in standing against any form of oppressive violence in our communities by

wearing jeans for a purpose on April 26.

What’s Denim Day?

Denim Day began after a 1992 Italian Supreme Court case overturned a rape conviction because the justices felt that the 18-year-old girl’s pants were so tight that the girl must have helped remove them. This “help” implied consent.

The Denim Day campaign is about wearing jeans for a purpose: to make a visible statement that brings awareness to victim blaming and myths surrounding sexual violence. Read the full story.

How can you help?

  1. Wear jeans on April 26, and encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to do so as well.
  2. Take a picture! Gather everyone for a photo and send it to info@core-realtors.com to share on our social media.
  3. Donate to CORE’s gift card drive. CORE is partnering with Safe + Sound Somerset for Denim Day, and they need gift cards for survivors of domestic and sexual violence – a crucial step towards financial and personal independence.
