Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®
Joining a local local association of REALTORS® automatically extends your membership to the state association and national association. Members of Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® (Headquarters in South River, NJ) are also members of New Jersey REALTORS® (Trenton, NJ) and the National Association of REALTORS® (Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C.).

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is America’s largest trade association, representing 1.5 million members, including NAR’s institutes, societies, and councils, involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. New Jersey Realtors® is the voice for real estate in New Jersey and serves as a leading advocate for the real estate industry and private property owners. NJ Realtors provides essential programs and services for Realtors, including government affairs, continuing education, market statistics and many other benefits. Comprised of 14 local associations, New Jersey Realtors is the state arm of the National Association of Realtors with 63,000 members who are involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. Mission Statement
New Jersey Realtors exists to support all segments of its membership, in concert with the local boards and associations of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors by developing and delivering programs, services and related products which enhances the ability to conduct business successfully and ethically, and to promote the extension and preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property.

New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC/DOBI)
Established in 1921, the New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC), a division of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, was created to administer and enforce New Jersey’s real estate licensing law, N.J.S.A. 45:15-1 et seq.
The REC issues licenses to real estate brokers and salespersons, real estate schools, and course instructors and establishes standards of practice for the real estate brokerage profession. It also regulates and registers out-of-state sales through New Jersey brokers.
